What is SocialGuap?
SocialGuap is a marketplace where brands hire creators. Creators list their channels, niches, portfolio and a rate card; brands filter the creator directory by niche, platform and format, post brand and UGC campaigns for creators to pitch, or message any creator who has joined SocialGuap.
Every deal is agreed in chat and paid on-platform: the money is collected before the work starts, held until the delivery is approved, then paid out through Stripe after a 7-day payout hold (3 days on the Creator plan).
Do creators and brands need a plan?
Creators don't. A creator can list a profile, be found, reply to brands and send offers for free, and — once a YouTube channel is verified — pitch brand and UGC campaigns; new campaigns open to free accounts 48 hours after they are funded. The Creator plan ($19.95/month) is optional: it skips that wait, though pitching still needs a verified channel, and the platform keeps 10% instead of 15% on direct orders, with 3-day payouts.
Brands browse for free: every creator unblurred, with the portfolio and rate card each one shows. Hiring one — messaging a creator who has joined SocialGuap, or posting a brand or UGC campaign — needs the Brand plan ($49.95/month). Billing runs through Stripe and you can cancel any time — access continues to the end of the paid period.
What fees does SocialGuap take?
On a direct order the brand pays the agreed price, and the platform keeps 15% of it from the creator's side — 10% on the Creator plan. The fee is locked in when the offer is accepted, so a later plan change never reprices an existing order.
A campaign budget works the other way around: the fee is added on top. A brand funding $500.00 pays $575.00, and a deal a creator takes from that budget carries no fee on the creator's side. All prices are in USD, and any applicable tax is added at checkout.
How is the money held?
The money is in place before any work starts. On a direct order the brand pays the full price by card through Stripe Checkout after the terms are agreed — whichever side sent them — and the work and its delivery clock start only once that payment clears; a deal from a brand campaign is drawn from the budget the brand already funded. Either way it sits with neither side while the work is delivered.
The creator delivers through the order page. The brand then approves, requests a revision (the offer says how many are included, up to two), or reports a problem. If the brand does nothing for 72 hours after delivery, the order auto-approves, so a silent buyer can’t strand a finished job.
How and when do creators get paid?
Payouts go through Stripe Connect, using Stripe's Express onboarding, which handles identity and tax — SocialGuap never sees your banking details. You can accept, deliver and complete work before you connect; anything you earn in the meantime is held for you and sent on the next payout run after you finish onboarding.
A deal's payout releases 7 days after the order completes — 3 days on the Creator plan; the hold covers disputes and chargebacks. Once transferred, money lands on Stripe's normal payout schedule for your bank.
